The much-anticipated Annual Cricket Encounter 2023, organized by the Ananda College Old Hosteler’s Guild, proved to be a roaring triumph for the second consecutive year. With over 150 participants from more than 20 batches, the event took place on August 12th, 2023, at the vibrant Shalika Ground in Narahenpita. The atmosphere was electric, with an abundance of excitement, lively DJ performances, and the infectious beat of the traditional papare music.
This event is more than just a cricket tournament; it’s a celebration of the camaraderie and unity that define the brotherhood of Ananda College Old Hostelers. It serves as a platform to relive cherished memories, bonding with fellow brothers who share a deep connection.
The crowning glory of the tournament was the victory achieved by the 2015 hostel batch, securing the championship for the second consecutive year. The runner-up position was claimed by the 2008 hostel batch, showcasing the fierce competition and spirit of sportsmanship that graced the matches.
