Election of Office Bearers for the Year 2023/2024

The pro-temp chairperson requested from the members to propose a new Joint Secretary for the year 2023/2024. Mr. Kaling Herath proposed Mr. Kapila Munasinghe for the post of Joint Secretary and Mr. Ananda Piyadasa seconds this proposal. After that the pro temp chairperson requested from the members to propose a new president for year 2023/2024. Mr. Sarath Wadisinghe proposed Mr. Priyal Wijegunawardane for the post of President and Mr. Ajith Wanniarachchi seconds this proposal since there was no any other proposals from the members. Mr. Lal Hewagama stated that Mr. Priyal Wijegunawardane officially elected as the president for the year 2023/2024 and invited the new president to proceed the meeting.

Mr. Priyal Wijegunawardane thanked for appointing him as the President of Ananda College Old Hostellers Guild and he proposed following list of members for the positions mentioned below.

Mr. Nihal Abegunawardane – 2nd Joint Secretary

Mr. Deshapriya Wikramasinghe – Treasurer

Mr. Ananda Piyadasa – Vice Treasurer

Mr. CSK Senevirathna – Vice President

Mr. Lasantha Edirisuriya – Vice President

Mr. Kaling Herath – Vice President

Mr. Lal Hewagama – Executive Committee Member

Mr. Ajith Wanniarachchi – Executive Committee Member

Mr. Supun Adikari – Executive Committee Member

Mr. Gamini Wijesiriwardane – Executive Committee Member

Mr. Sanjaya Karunarathne – Executive Committee Member

Mr. W. Mahinkanda – Executive Committee Member

Mr. L.P. Liyanage – Executive Committee Member

The President proposed Mr. Janaka Jayawikrama, Mr. W.N Priyan Saranga, Mr. Iroshan Wijesinghe, Mr. Amila Rajapaksha, Mr. Waruna Edirisinghe as other committee members. Since, there was no other proposals or objections the list proposed by the President automatically confirmed. (Seconding is not required as per the constitution)
